BEEN AWHILE!

We spent the month of September in Ohio.  Left Lake Erie and headed to Michigan, but got disenchanted when we found out that Michigan State Parks policy is every vehicle entering the park has to have an annual sticker.  That would be one for Josie and one for the Jeep.  Decided that we would go back another time to see the Lighthouses on Lake Michigan when it was earlier in the year so the price of the sticker would give us more time!  Kinda crazy, I guess, but that's what we did!!!

Went to Cowan Lake State Park in Southern Ohio.  Spent 5 nights there.  A VERY nice park.  A big surprise while we were there.  Our friend George, from Indianapolis was there with his son & friends.  What a shock that was!  We visited with them a night around their campfire.  They turned me onto Dry Roasted Peanuts combined with Candy Corn.  DELICIOUS!  Tastes like a Pay Day Candy Bar. 

Headed north a bit and spent a week or so at our friends Tom & Carol's "campground"  Sure was good to see them AND go to dinner @ Hunan's!  When we parked Josie the day we arrived, there was anti-freeze leaking from the engine.  We let it ride until the day we were ready to pull out.  Called Ricart and they got us in and found that the water pump needed replaced!  WOW!  Under warranty tho, so all is good now!  While we were waiting on Josie to get fixed we visited with friends on the East side of town.  One of them gave Greg a gift card to Cabela's as a belated Retirement Gift.  NICE!

Once Josie was ready to go again, we headed to Stonelick State Park around Loveland Ohio.  Another very nice Ohio State Park!  Also got to visit with Tammie & Family since they were so close.

LEFT STONELICK FRIDAY SEPT 29, BY CHECKOUT TIME.  HEADED INTO KENTUCKY.  SPENT THE NIGHT @ WALMART "CAMPGROUND" AND THEN CABELA'S "CAMPGROUND" SATURDAY NIGHT.  GOTTA LOVE THE PRICE!!!!  LOL
