We had to say Good Bye to our Good Friends Steve & Brenda after spending a wonderful week with them. Steve had some obstacles to get around getting their trailer out of the site. Trees and a curve.... The camper across the road was kind and moved his car. Greg watched one side of the trailer, Brenda the other. The kind Camper watched the front so the truck would not hit the trash can & site # pole for the site across the road. After about a 1/2 hour of great maneuvering on Steve's part, they were out and on their way. Going the wrong way on our 1 way road and swooping into the grass with truck/trailer. Oh Well, don't sweat the small stuff!!! GREAT Driving Steve!!!!
We hooked the Jeep to Fredrick and we were on our way. South Bound towards Alabama. We stopped about 30 miles into the trip to check things out with coach/Jeep, as we always do. The left rear wheel of the Jeep was too hot to touch. Not good. We debated what to do and decided the best plan was to head back to Crossville and have the Jeep Mechanic look into what was causing the heat. Especially since they had just installed new rear and emergency brake pads. Only problem. It's Sunday.... Was able to text chat with a Jeep Salesman and he assured us that he would leave a note on the Service Writer's desk we had dealt with, George, that explained the situation. Said George would see it first thing Monday morning. We stayed the night in the Crossville Super Walmart which was a 1/2 block from the dealer. Very Noisy!!! The private truck drivers in Tennessee like loud pipes!

MONDAY OCTOBER 8
We had the Jeep @ the dealer by 7:15. They opened at 7:30. No George. He was on vacation... Talked to another Service Writer, Mackenzie. She could make no promises, but was hopeful they could get right to it to find the problem since we had just picked it up the Weds. before. She would call and let us know the plan.
At 2:00 Greg checked his phone. A Voice Mail from Mackenzie @ 10:30. Apparently the phone volume had gotten turned off somehow..... The Jeep was ready and the Emergency Brake had been adjusted too tight. Bummer! We walked back to the dealer. Got the Jeep, hooked to Fredrick and started south again.
Too many miles to get to Gadsden Alabama, Noccalula RV Park before dark so we parked at Super Walmart in Hixon Tennessee, just north of Chattanooga. Spent the night there. Not as noisy!!!
TUESDAY OCTOBER 9
Woke the next morning to armies of little tiny ants inside the coach. Outside too of course! NOT Happy!!! Went inside Walmart and bought $35 worth of Ant Spray/Bait. Sprayed all around the edges inside the coach and outside on the steps where we could see them marching.... So upset over the ants, I forgot to take a picture! Headed onto Noccalula.
Stopped at the Alabama Welcome Rest Stop. WOW They have RV Dumps. Never have seen that before! Took advantage, and emptied our tanks. Had not dumped before we left Cumberland Mountain since it was Sunday and there was a long line. Who would have guessed that we would not be arriving at our full hook up site as planned.......

HOME TIL SUNDAY! |
The site we have is LEVEL! Concrete pull thru pad. NICE! Our satellite won't pick up a signal thru the tall Pine & Oak trees but the Park has cable hook up so we have TV. YAY! Hooked the water and sewer. Laundry will get done this week. YAY YAY!!
Set out the Terro Ant Bait we bought and sprayed some more from the gallon Ortho. Dead ants had to be swept up from the 1st spray at Walmart before putting down the throw rugs.
Very Happy so far @ Noccalula. 2 days later than we hoped. They were very gracious and understanding when Greg called them Sunday and Monday to tell them about the Jeep problem and held our reservation. No charge for the 2 nights we were not able to stay here. It is a Good Sam Park. We received a code for the gate to use when going in/out to explore.
WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 10
Watching the weather. Cloudy & Gray. Michael may give us some rain. That might not be a bad thing. No rain here lately and we've been told the beautiful Noccalula Falls are not beautiful right now. Just a trickle. Doing laundry.... 3rd load in washer. 2 more to go. Sure is nice having the washer/dryer in the coach and not have to use the laundry facility at the campground. 😃 Hope to get out exploring tomorrow, The weather forecast is better then. Sunny, less humid and not as hot..
